Hrayr Barsoumian is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) with advanced degrees in Economics, specializing in banking and financial markets. His diverse experience spans key roles in financial management, risk, and consulting across banking, insurance, and investment sectors. He shares his expertise as an Executive MBA lecturer and contributes to economic development as the Deputy Chair of the Entrepreneurship & SMEs Commission at the International Chamber of Commerce National Committee Armenia.

Hrayr Barsoumian is a highly accomplished professional whose expertise spans both advanced financial theory and practical business application. He holds a prestigious Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP®), USA, a qualification that underpins his deep understanding of complex financial systems and risk mitigation strategies. His academic foundation is equally robust, with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Economics from Saint Joseph University (USJ), Lebanon, where he specialized in banking and financial markets.

Mr. Barsoumian has translated this extensive knowledge into significant hands-on experience, having worked in critical financial management, risk management, and business consulting roles across a diverse range of sectors, including banking, insurance, contracting, and investment funds. This multi-sector experience has provided him with a unique, cross-disciplinary perspective on business challenges. Beyond his professional practice, Mr. Barsoumian is dedicated to sharing his expertise, serving as an Executive MBA financial management lecturer at Yerevan State Medical University, where he helps shape the next generation of business leaders.
